Colleen Hoover’s outstanding romance novel It Ends With Us is being made into a movie! It Ends With Us was originally published in August 2016 and won the Goodreads award for the Best romance book in 2016. It has been fully confirmed now that It Ends With Us by Colleen Hoover has a movie adaptation in the works. However a release date is yet to be announced, and neither has the casting been announced.
Nevertheless, what we do know is that the first draft has been completed and there is a script. The release date is yet to be confirmed and while a 2022 release seems highly unlikely, a 2023 release seems possible.

Movie Updates
On 27th of January 2023, It was announced that Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni have been attached to star in the film adaptation of Colleen Hoover’s bestselling novel It Ends With Us, which is in development with Wayfarer Studios and Sony Pictures. Baldoni is also set to direct, with Christy Hall adapting the script.
Midway through 2019, Justin Baldoni announced on Instagram that his movie business, Wayfarer Entertainment, will adapt the novel It Ends With Us into a film.
He stated as follows:

Previously, Baldoni directed the film adaptation of Five Feet Apart. The first draft screenplay for the It Ends With Us movie was completed in September 2021. This was announced by Baldoni with an online video.
In July 2022, Collen Hoover took to her Instagram to share her excitement about the movie’s script.
It Ends With Us is becoming a movie. I know I’ve said that before, but with a little doubt in my heart, because it’s always a scary thing relying on Hollywood. But after meeting with @justinbaldoni and his amazing @wayfarerstudios team today and seeing how much effort they’ve put into this script and into WANTING to give readers what they want, I’m confident you are all going to be very happy. I would post more pics, but when you’re sitting in a room of creatives, listening to them discuss scenes and characters in a lively way that you developed all alone from your own head, it’s hard to break out of that trance and take pictures.
